Word is that the Western Birder site no longer exists and
and the service owner was "subletting" the URL until someone
comes along to buy it. I'm also told this is a fairly
common practice.

At any rate the Western Birder site will not be returning.
This means that, among other things, Alan's article on starting
up and running a CBC in no longer available on line.
