For those who don't know me I am Colin Thoreen. Chuck (Charles) Pilling was
who got me into the birding seriously. He had been my mentor fro over 5
years. Chuck was the first in the world to successfully breed Bufflehead,
Harlequin, and Hooded Merganser. Like Cliff and Mary said about the memorail
fund is very important to be able to keep the pond successful. June (wife)
has a smile on her face when she see so many people paying their respects to
Chuck by letters and flowers (at the front fence). Chuck Pilling was a VERY
important community member. I also KNOW many Seattle Audubon memebers and
other birdwatchers stoped by to study the birds. It means alot if people
stop by and put a flower in the fence or a memory.
