Notes: It was bright and sunny with an east wind today, this created a
heat shimmer that got in the way of some identifications. There were
still
big SOOTY SHEARWATER numbers in fairly close this morning. The BROWN
PELICAN
numbers are also still phenomenal with nearly 200 sitting on the jetty
(sitting on the jetty is fairly unusual). The unidentified loons were
either
PACIFIC or RED-THOATED, but moving far enough out that heat shimmer was
interferring with identification. A single RED KNOT was with LEAST SANDPIPERS
on the beach.

Astoria, OR that all through history
celata at pacifier.com the way of truth and love have always won.
There have been tyrants, and murderers,
and for a time they can seem invincible,
but in the end they always fall.
Think of it...always.
