I conducted the monthly census at the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R.
near Washougal, in Clark County, on Oct. 28th. The most notable birds
were a SNOW GOOSE, 12 GREAT EGRETS, 1 BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, 1 BUFFLEHEAD,
and a NORTHERN SHRIKE. Both the goldeneye and the shrike were at the
Washougal Sewage Lagoons. Below is a complete list of the 59 species
seen.
