It's been so long since I have posted anything here I forgot how. Had to look up the instructions. Hope I got it right.

Yesterday afternoon my wife noticed a large blue bird bullying it's way into the bird feeder on our back deck off and on through the afternoon. Twice I caught glimpses of what looked to be a Blue Jay but I was never quite sure.

Today I set up a video camera and recorded the comings and goings for about 3 hours though a glass door. Despite the drizzling rain the tapes definitely show a Blue Jay coming to feed for 1-2 minutes at a time at irregular intervals from a few to more than 20 minutes apart. The bird seems quite nervous and flies if there is obvious movement in the living room. Probably is staying in a nearby tree but I haven't been able to see it

Eventually I will combine the various taped visits onto a single tape.
Meanwhile, I am in the process of making some still images from the digital tapes to post on the web site below. I just posted a single image to back up my story.

I live in Prosser which is about 7 miles east of the reported sighting at Grandview.
If anyone has any questions they can call after 1PM.
