A WHITE-TAILED KITE was at Ft Stevens State Park Sunday across
from parking lot B. Adding up the kites on both side of the
River come to 8 (5 in Chinook Valley, 2 at Brownsmead and 1 at
Ft Stevens).

Four HARLEQUIN DUCKS were at Seaside Cove today (10/30) along
with no fewer than 400 WESTERN GREBES, 4 HORNED GREBES and a
mixed flock of 500+ SURF and WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS.

A BONAPARTE'S GULL was at the Neawanna Mill Ponds. GADWALL,
BUFFLEHEAD and RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS were also on the ponds.

About 600 CALIFORNIA GULLS were on the the Necanicum Estuary.
MEW GULL numbers are rising toward usual winter numbers and
both HERRING and THAYER'S GULLS are fairly easy to find now.
