Ian and all:

I've had GHOW use a nesting platform here on the Palouse the past 5 seasons.
Mine is a simple, heavy-duty plastic livestock feeding tub that's about 8
inches deep and 2 feet in diameter. I attached it in a ponderosa pine about
12 feet off the ground, using two branches and the trunk to support it. I
filled it with a few sticks and a couple of handfuls of pine needles. It
took 3 years before the birds found it worthy, but now they use it annually.
