Dear Tweeters
Among the usual birds at my feeder this morning was a male House Finch
with a large growth on his head.
The growth appeared to be largest at the crown, extending towards his
bill.
This evening the bird was on the ground in a flower bed and slowly
sought refuge under some plants
In the past two years I've seen a few others with similar abnormalities.
I recall reading, somewhere, of someone studying this very subject.
Anyone know about this study or seen anything similar?
