Today the mud was exposed at the Yakima River Delta near Richland. There
were quite a good assortment of shorebirds in close viewing range. The
highlight was a Red Knot among a few Long-billed Dowitchers. 1 juv
Short-billed Dowitcher was also present.

Other shorebirds: Western, Least, Pectoral, & Spotted Sandpipers, Greater
& Lesser Yellowlegs, Red-necked Phalarope, Killdeer, Semipalmated Plover, &
American Avocet.

Other birds: Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons, American White Pelicans
