Wow! The birding here at the new place is getting exciting!

The Cedar Waxwings are having a feeding frenzy on the blueberry bushes in our new backyard up here by Lake Cassidy. The birds are by and large quite young, recently fledged and still having trouble figuring out how to eat the blue morsels. Its quite comical watching one of those youngsters with a berry in its beak looking around as if to say, "uh, mom....what do I do next?"

So far here is what I've seen and IDd.....

Stellar Jays (many!)
Crows
Raven (heard a very ravenlike gutteral gronk several times)
Northern Flickers
Hairy Woodpecker
BC Chickadees
Sparrow, possibly a fox sparrow
Robins - many youngsters!
Bushtits
Yellow warbler

Plus I've heard birds I've never heard before. Can't wait till fall when the birds aren't as well hidden by leaves.
Mammals:
Chipmunk
Eastern Cottontail brown bunnies

This place is a birder's PARADISE!
