I birded the Edmonds Ferry Terminal today from about 2 pm to 3:30 pm seeing the following birds of interest:
Pigeon Guillemot - 2
Wilson's Phalarope - 50+ (these were feeding/twirling in two groups, one NW of the outer end of the ferry dock and a larger and somewhat closer group in and around the kelp beds north of the jetty)
Western Sandpiper - 4
Sanderling - 3
Marbled Murrelet - 2+ NW of the ferry pier
Bonaparte's Gull - 20+
Common Tern - 3+
Red-necked Grebe - 1
A friendly ferry worker (for whom I identified a Belted Kingfisher) reported that he had been seeing a brown pelican regularly recently and also reported a small hawk is there every morning very early and each morning it eats a starling or a sparrow.
