Tweeters,

As a follow-up to Rachel Lawson's report for Tuesday, Sept 4, I saw three
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS at Damon Point, Ocean Shores this afternoon. The
birds were on the tidal flat located next to the front gate and small
parking lot, and were feeding together in the long strip of short (1-4
inches tall) grass-like vegetation exposed by the low tide. Nearly all of
their activity was within 30-40 yards of the road. All three appeared to
be juveniles.

The BAR-TAILED GODWIT is still present at Toke Point, Tokeland. It was
roosting on the dock with 377 MARBLED GODWITS at high tide late this
afternoon.
