Close Encounters with Hummingbirds and other Desert Surprises
Thursday, September 20th
7PM, Center for Urban Horticulture

Last April, nine members of Seattle Audubon's BirdWatch program for 9th-12th
graders took Arizona by storm- or was it the other way around? Come see and
hear about a hummingbird's unusual "flower" choice, desert snowball fights,
and the 161 bird species the group identified on the six-day adventure.

See BirdWatch student photography and drawings, learn about paid summer
internships for participants, and discover how you or your teenager can get
involved in this exciting program for high school students.

Doors open at 6:30PM for refreshments, Master Birder Booth, and Nature Shop
selections.
The Center for Urban Horticulture is located at 3501 NE 41st St, Seattle, in
the Laurelhurst neighborhood. From NE45th Street, turn south on Mary Gates
Memorial Way to NE 41st Street.
