Friday I did a bird survey at the "South 47" - the farm at the NW corner of the
SR202/NE 124th St intersection in Redmond? Woodinville?

The highlights were a flock of 10-15 AMERICAN PIPIT, and ... a HUMMINGBIRD.

Now, I didn't see the hummingbird very long, only just long enough to be sure
that it was, indeed, a hummingbird.

By season, it would seem very late for Rufous. Yet I've never heard of Anna's
as far to the northeast as the Sammamish Valley. There are extensive plots of
flowers - dahlias, snapdragons, etc for the flower trade - being grown on the
farm. Any thoughts as to what KIND of hummingbird it was most likely to have
been?
