Sorry for the late posting. I spent last week, Sept. 10 thru 14 in the
Okanagan area. While hiking to several old lookout sites, my dog scared up
a number of Blue Grouse, but I had a Spruce Grouse high on the side of Funk
Mtn., DeLorme page 114, D3. It was sitting in the middle of the road and
did not move until I had eased up to about 10 feet from it. It was in the
same spot when I came back down from the top.
The road at the top of this mountain is rather rough and I would only
recommend it for 4-wheel drive vehicles.
