I didn't see this on Tweeters tonight so thought I would post:

Kevin Aanerud reports on the BirdBox that he found an immature
Chestnut-sided Warbler today (19 Sept) at Foster Island in Seattle. His
report (left at 3:26 p.m.) states that the bird was in a mixed-species flock
loosely associating with Black-capped Chickadees, Orange-crowned Warblers
and a Warbling Vireo. It was seen about 150 feet past the footbridge
where there are conifers and a few birch trees. The bird was foraging about
20 feet up. Kevin reports that it moved about to other parts of the island
as well.

To reach Foster Island:

>From I-5:
Take the Montlake Avenue exit off of 520 east
Continue straight through stoplight following Lake Washington Boulevard as
it curves around to a stop sign
Continue straight into the Arboretum and bear left at the next intersection
Follow this road to its end and park

As I recall from the Black-and-white Warbler that a spent the winter here a
few years back, the path and footbridge is fairly obvious at the end of this
parking
lot.

>From Bellevue and the eastside:
Take 520 west to the Lake Washington Boulevard exit.
Take left at the stop at the end of the exit, proceeding towards the
arboretum
Bear left at the next intersection. Follow this road to its end and park

Looks like I'll be taking a long lunch tomorrow!!
