Returning to Astoria today, I drove down US 105 from Aberdeen to
Raymond....a road-killed SOOTY SHEARWATER was on the south end of the Elk
River bridge, just south of Bay City. This is inland about 2-3 miles from
the ocean beach.

Then, Tokeland Marina had a flock of about 150 MARBLED GODWITS, 12 WILLETS,
2 WHIMBRELS right by the white boathouse on the bay side, about 20 m from
the road. Out on the bay were 1 COMMON LOON, 1 RUDDY DUCK, and 2 WESTERN
GREBES. To the north of the Marina, there appeared to be about 200 peeps
and maybe 10-15 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
