The Rattlesnake Hawk Watch continued on Sunday September 23, with mild
winds and high, thin cloud cover (20%). Location as previously described.
The 4 observers were ourselves, Dana Ward and Carole Byrd. The following
birds were noted, including some resident and migrating hawks.

Prairie Falcon 2
Northern Harrier 4
American Kestrel 2 (male & female)
Sharp-shinned Hawk 2
Osprey 1
Red-tailed Hawk 3 (1 adult, 2 immature)

Passerines at Pumphouse: (plus Chukar, Northern Flicker)

White-crowned Sparrow 30
Rock Wren 2
Canyon Wren 1
Dark-eyed Junco 8
American Robin 1
Black-billed Magpie 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1
White-throated Sparrow 1 (first observation for the Arid Lands Ecology
Reserve, tan striped adult)
Common Raven 2
Horned Lark 4
