Hi there,
I'm a very newly-hatched birder so I may be offering unsurprising (and
poorly recorded) information to everyone! However, I was out walking at
Leadbetter State Park on the Long Beach Peninsula on Monday the 24th with
friends and observed a sandhill crane and a white whooping crane together at
water's edge. They flew down the beach and I wasn't quick enough to take in
details, but they were definitely cranes, not herons. Does this sound
plausible? Are there other, similar possibilities?
