There at least 100 BROWN PELICANS on Youngs Bay, visible
from the Youngs Bay Causeway this morning. Also present
were 500+ DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS.

There were still good numbers of SOOTY SHEARWATERS off the
South Jetty of the Columbia River. Shorebirds at the ponds
yesterday morning included BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, SEMIPALMATED
PLOVER, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, DUNLIN and WESTERN SANDPIPERS.

There has been an obvious movement of SONG SPARROWS going
on at Coxcomb Hill over the last several days. There are
still a few lingering BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, but
most of the big warbler movements appear to have passed.
