Hi, Tweets

Just a reminder to keep looking up!!! Just this morning (Friday) I've
gotten two reports plus two yesterday of small flocks of turkey vultures
migrating over our area: North Seattle, Woodinville, east of Bellevue, and,
in addition, Point Roberts and Everson. These flocks have been between 7-18
birds; not the huge numbers we get at Salt Creek, but they do spread out,
plus others come from other northern sites. When I first moved back to
Seattle, about twenty years ago, the first turkey vultures I saw were a
flock of 100+ over Edmonds at just about this time!

Also, a friend of mine saw his first merlin of the season this morning, a
passage female, but he didn't say which ssp.

Cheers, Diann
