Hi Tweeters - I accidently received two sets of the latest BNA volumes published, and I asked Pat Warner at Birds of North America if I could send the Oregon ones to the authors doing those species accounts for the new Birds of Oregon book rather than returning them to her, and make it a BNA marketing effort at the same time. She said no problem, and will be sending me updated subscription/info brochures. The rest of the accounts (non-Oregon species) I'm offering on OBOL and Tweeters for free, but must limit it to one account per person.

What I need: either the cost of postage ($1.26) or a self-addressed, stamped ($1.26) MANILA 9X12 envelope sent to me (address is below) by each person who would like one of the accounts, along with the name of the species you would like. If I was still a USFS or state employee I'd let them absorb the cost...but Northwest Habitat Institute and myself are too poor to cover all that postage!

Here are the species I received duplicates of (Oregon species are going to Birds of Oregon authors, unless they don't want them):

Christmas Shearwater
Fulvous Whistling Duck
Red Knot
Short-billed Dowitcher
Ladder-backed Woodpecker
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher
Pygmy Nuthatch
Hooded Oriole

Fort-tailed Storm-Petrel
Great Egret
Steller's Eider
Ring-necked Pheasant
Glaucous Gull
California Gnatcatcher
Yellow-breasted Chat
Great-tailed Grackle

Black Storm-Petrel
Black-bellied Whistling Duck
Willet
Upland Sandpiper
Bar-tailed Godwit
Sedge Wren
Common Myna
Blue-winged Warbler

Black Turnstone
Spotted Dove
Black-billed Cuckoo
Three-toed Woodpecker
Fish Crow
Arctic Warbler
Gray-cheeked Thrush
Bicknell's Thrush
Sabine's Gull
Parakeet Auklet

Forster's Tern
White-crowned Pigeon
Western Screech-Owl
Bushtit
Evening Grosbeak
'Akiapola'au and Nukupu'u

I have found owning the Birds of North America set extremely helpful and well worth the investment...so take this opportunity to look over your free copy and see if maybe you'd like to subscribe too. 600 accounts have been published to date, with about 120 more to go by the end of next year.
