Banding Report for Ft Stevens Banding Station
Ft Stevens St Pk, Clatsop Co. OR

Method: Up to eight 9m mist nets are placed in perpendicular
sets in willow wetland habitat near the South Jetty of the
Columbia River. Captured birds are measured, ringed with
USBBL numbered metal bands and released. Data on time of
capture and side of net captured are also recorded to gain
an understanding of movements through the area.

Notes: We had a high diversity day today of mostly resident
and winter arrival individuals. A COMMON YELLOWTHROAT first
banded in 1999 was a pleasant surprise as was a SONG SPARROW
first banded in 1998.
