Ah, the wonders of migration! I experienced a lovely spring fallout this
morning in my neighborhood on Mercer Island. The first bird I noticed was a
gorgeous male HOODED WARBLER utilizing my birdbath. Then, in turn, came
BLACKBURNIAN, BLACK-THROATED BLUE, and PROTHONATORY WARBLERs, and SCARLET
TANAGER. Later, a male ORCHARD ORIOLE visited my hummingbird feeder. The
trees were literally dripping with birds! There were even warblers in the
driveway! Other migrants in high numbers in and around my yard included:

Eastern Wood-pewee
White-eyed Vireo
Chesnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Baltimore Oriole
Field Sparrow

In lesser numbers:

Black-billed Cuckoo
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher
Acadian Flycatcher
Blue-headed Vireo
Golden-winged Warbler
Cerulean Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Kentucky Warbler
Dickcissel

A gorgeous array of migrants this morning! Don't you just love spring?
