The Ospreys are back at their nest in Montesano along Hwy 12. For anyone
who doesn't know about it you go right past it on the way to Ocean Shores,
Aberdeen/Hoquiam, or Raymond. It is located in the wetland around the
Montesano exit on Hwy 12 (10 miles east of Aberdeen). Look just to the
south of the highway and you'll see it at the top of a tree. There's
usually at least one Osprey hanging out in it. For a better view of an
Osprey nest take the Montesano exit and head south about a mile. You'll
come to a bridge over the Chehalis River, the nest is right next to the
bridge. A great view of the nest.

On another note, "my" Violet-green Swallows returned today. A pair of them
are hanging around the nest box this morning. No hummingbirds yet but heard
one at Preachers Slough (near Montesano) last week and saw 3 of them at
Nisqually Saturday.
