Yes, a great gray owl was seen in Bridle Trails Park in early 1997.
Also, that winter three other owls were seen at undisclosed locations in
Western Washington, one each in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties.
A great gray appeared in Whatcom County in 1990, but its location also
was kept secret.
