Spring sprung, at least for today, with gorgeous sun, no clouds, and 7 of us
enjoying it all. We would have been happy enough walking around with no birds
to see, but there were plenty. In fact, today's total was FIFTY EIGHT species,
I believe a new record for a regular day walk at Marymoor (last May's Big
Morning netted over 70, but that was with many groups of birders).

Highlights:

American Kestrel Seen yesterday over East Meadow

D.C. Cormorant Gorgeous breeding plumage on some birds!
Northern Harrier Brian saw a male fly north around 6:50 a.m.
Common Snipe Fabulous views below weir, 2 birds. Didn't flush.
Rufous Hummingbird ~5 males, maybe a female. 1 male harassed a Fox

Cliff Swallow First of spring
Yellow-rumped Warbler ~10, both Aud. and Myrtles, males & females
Orange-crowned Warbler One near Rowing Club dock
Townsend's Warbler 2 in cedars near windmill
