April 2, 6:39 PM - This is Rachel Lawson (206) 282-5593. There is a
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK coming to a feeder on Beacon Hill, Seattle. The bird
looks like it might be a first year male molting into adult plumage,
although I'm not familiar enough with this species to rule out the
possibility of its being a ROSE-BREASTED/BLACK-HEADED hybrid. The bird was
first observed late yesterday afternoon and I saw it about 4:30 PM today.
The address is 4922 28th Avenue South and the bird visits the wooden feeder
with a pine cone hanging from the base. This feeder is in the front yard and
visible from the sidewalk in front of the house. The homeowners ask that you
please do not enter the yard and do not visit before 8:30 AM or after dusk.
Please respect their wishes and be courteous. The bird does not come to the
feeder very often but it stayed at the feeder for several minutes when it
does appear. That's It. Good Birding!

April 2, 10:54 PM - This is Rachel Lawson, Birdbox system administrator. On
Friday, March 29th, Charles Easterberg, whose number is (206) 362-2914,
reports that a co-worker of his saw a BROWN PELICAN flying south over 21st
Place South near Highline Community College in Des Moines between the shore
and Highway 99. That's it. Good Birding!

April 3, 3:50 PM - This is Brian Bell (425) 485-8058. The ROSE-BREASTED
GROSBEAK which is at the residence at 4922 28th Avenue South on Beacon Hill
is still there this afternoon. It has been around for at least an hour from
2:40 until almost 3:40. Attractive looking bird. Looks very much like it is
probably a winter male. Good Birding!
