Birders,

Today, Mike Force, Ryan Tomlinson, Hank Vanderpol, Lesley Robertson, Elke
Fischer and I, all from Kelowna, BC, went N. towards Merritt and Kamloops.
The day started off cool, with wind and intermittent snow squals, but ended
with sunny skies and warmer temps. Many of the lakes along our 430 km
journey were still frozen. Some had open edges, and on them we counted
thousands of ducks!

Long-billed Curlew - 3 birds were perched in the fields along Hwy 97 at
Westwold. The birds were calling and provided nice scope views.
