Hello tweeters,
I just stepped out into my backyard for a minute at 7:23 pm, and I heard the
clear and unmistakable flight call of a Black-bellied Plover overhead. It
called and called, as shorebirds often do when by themselves. I answered it,
but I don't know if its repeated calling was in response to me or was going
to happen anyway. I couldn't see it, but there is no doubt in my mind that
that's what I was hearing. Pretty exciting new bird for my yard list!
