Tweeters and Cliff,
On Fri (4/05) morning (7:30 am or so), while on the ferry from Edmunds to
Kingston, I saw hundreds of Bonaparte's gulls heading south. Could be this
species you saw.

Hi folks,

I was down at Shilshole Bay this morning and saw a line of hundreds, or
thousands of birds way out on the Sound. The line stretched as far as I
could see in both directions. They looked about the size of Common Terns to
Mew Gulls and looked quite white, but they were too far away to see
clearly. They seemed to move North and South short distances very close to
the water, not much more than a foot above the surface. I sure wish I could
afford a scope.

Any Ideas? I know its pretty darned vague...
