I visited Black Lake Meadows today (Tuesday 08), and had some luck despite
the rain. My original intention was to find the N. ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW
Gary Wiles had found on Sunday and split, but I missed my return bus so I
hung around.

Spring arrivals:
1 singing male COMMON YELLOWTHROAT
3 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS (2 males, 1 female)
2 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS
2 male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS (one was definitely on territory, he chased the
other hummer and scolded a White-crowned Sparrow, Song Sparrow and
Red-winged Blackbird)
2 SAVANNAH SPARROWS
5 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS
1 TURKEY VULTURE
