Tweeters,
This particular birder-homeowner interaction was a great success! Sue
Slade told the neighbors about the bird before the crowds arrived, which I
am sure helped a lot. And the birdseed WAS a great idea; many thanks to
those responsible. Below is a message from Sue herself. Thanks, everyone!

>We wanted to thank you for coming out to our house to help us identify the

>We also were hoping you could forward on a thank you to all the bird

>respectful. We thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to share a view
>of the grosbeak as well as our other feathered friends in our yard. Our
>daughter was quite amused by the whole event and our neighbors seemed to
>enjoy the activity as well. The grosbeak has gone now, but we would not
>hesitate to let you know of any other unusual birds in our yard. Thank
>you again to everyone and thank you for the bag of birdseed! We know the
>birds will enjoy it.
