Columbia Estuary Report - 4/11/2002

I drove Clatsop Beach from Sunset Access to Gearhart approach
this morning and saw no shorebirds until I got to Gearhart
where I count about 60 SANDERLINGS.

SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS were reported from the Necannicum Estuary
on Monday.

COMMON YELLOWTHROATS were seen on Wireless Rd and Astoria
Mitigation Bank this morning (6 were reported yesterday at
Wireless Rd). The ROSS'S GOOSE was still with the small-form
goose flock at Wireless.

GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS seem to be on the move with small
flocks turning up in several areas.
