Just got back from a day rail trip from Kelso to Seattle and back, about 5
hours of train time. For fun, I kept track of bird species seen, even
though many at 60+ mph. Notables were the ALBINO LOON, BARROW'S GOLDENEYE,
and RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS.
Wasn't there an albino loon along Tacoma Waterfront a while back? I
couldn't decide if it for sure was a Common (a bit difficult at that speed),
but it was big.
