I don't have a lot of time to write letters re the environment, etc., so I
have learned to take advantage of the many electronic letters and
petitions. Now is an especially important time to pay attention. I'm
forwarding this one because it specifically asks for help from Washington
state along with a few others. As you know, Congress is (again) considering
the Arctic National Wilderness Area for oil drilling - this week, I
understand - and this affects many of "our" birds. If you are so inclined,
take time to go into the site and sign the petition. Care2 is a very
reputable site for the environment.
