"Olympic Peninsula Bird Life: Mountain, Forest & Praire"

The Port Townsend Marine Science Center presents Dr. Fred Sharpe with a
free lecture at the PTMSC's Natural History Exhibit at Fort Worden State
Park on Thursday evening, April 18th at 7 PM.

Sharpe spent five years doing fieldwork updating and revising E.A.
Kitchen's BIRDS OF THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA, and discovering in the process
the varied bird communities produced by the complex topography and climate
of the peninsula. He has recently received a doctoral degree from Simon
Fraser University, studing animal behavior, and has done extensive field
research on the feeding behavior of humpback whales.

The PTMSC's Natural History Exhibit is located on the cliff side of the
beach road at Fort Worden State Park.. All PTMSC programs are offered on
cooperation with Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
