BANDING REPORT- Neawanna Wetland Preserve
19 April 2002

Method: Up to eight 9m mist nets are placed in mixed Oregon
Crabapple/Twinberry/Spruce along the the upper Neawanna River,
Seaside, Clatsop Co. OR. Captured birds are measured, ringed
with USBBL numbered metal bands and released. Data on time of
capture and side of net captured are also recorded to gain
an understanding of movements through the area.

NOTES: There was a significant movement of ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLERS through the area this morning (6 in one net at 0800hr).
12 were of the lutescens form; 1 orestera. All three HERMIT
THRUSHES were fairly grey and medium-sized, wing measurements
put them in the guttatus group, however. All but 3 of the 9
RUFOUS HUMMINBIRDS captured were female.
