Directions and maps to these sites and other habitat restoration sites on
the Duwamish River can be found at:

will also get you within walking distance of T-105, Puget Creek Estuary,
and Herring's House restoration sites. Bus #174 and #132 will take you
within walking distance of Turning Basin, Hamm Creek, and North Wind's Weir.
The later is a new restoration site which will see habitat enhancements in
the next few years.

On the day Brett mentioned, we also saw a Peregrine Falcon on a nest box
underneath the West Seattle Freeway Bridge. This box is just west of the
river, and can be seen from the walkway of the Spokane Street Bridge. Today
(Saturday), a Greater Yellowlegs, and a Dunlin in breeding plumage, were
also seen on the mud flats of Kellogg Island. There were ten Caspian Terns
on the same mud flat.
