Spring shorebirds movements are much tighter than those
seen during the fall migration. Most of the real action
occurs over a period of about 2 weeks from the last week
of April through the first week of May.
There is a promising tide sequence coming up from
April 25 to May 2. The Necanicum Estuary is the
most reliably productive spring shorebird site in
Clatsop County it is best on low and mid-tides.
The Fort Stevens shorebird flats are usually best
at high tide.
