Tweets,

Friends of ours have a ROBIN problem.

Their front window is about eighteen inches from a tree branch, which they
want to keep. A ROBIN perches on it and repeatedly flies at and hits the
window with its breast and wings. This has been going on for the past four
weeks. The owners made a one hour count of collisions and came up with a
total of more than two hundred! And so it goes most of every day.

What to do? They've tried to cut down on the reflection by pulling the
drapes; they've put a decal of a small hawk on the glass; they've put canvas
inside the window. The last thing they tried was to cut out a life-size
picture of a GOSHAWK, putting it close to the glass. The ROBIN attacked it!

Needless to say, the owners and neighbors are amused by all this bravery,
while at the same time they wish it would stop.

All suggestions, serious or frivolous, will gratefully be passed along.
