Hey Tweeters,
Birded the Kent Ponds (Green River Natural Resources Area) and
surrounding areas with a couple of others this morning. Some highlights at
the ponds included:
2 Wood Ducks
10+ Cinnamon Teal
3 Virginia Rails
1 VAUX'S SWIFT
1 Mourning Dove
many Common Yellowthroat, Orange-crowned & Yellow-rumped Warblers, and others

We then made a stop at 285th St. where we located:
27 Western Sandpipers
3 Least Sandpipers
4 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Lesser Yellowlegs - alternate plumage
1 male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD
25 American Pipits

In the afternoon we had a Red-breasted Sapsucker, Pileated Woodpecker,
2 more Vaux's Swifts, and a Hutton's Vireo at Lake Fenwick, and a pair of
Barred Owls near Des Moines. Good birding.
