Hi Tweeters,
Stopped for lunch today at the Edmonds Marine park just south of the Ferry
Terminal. To my delight, there were over 300 Brant along the waters edge. I
had debated on taking my binoculars this morning, and decided against it.
Dumb mistake!!! Well, they were close enough to enjoy anyway. I also had two
Caspian Terns fly overhead, one carried a small fish in it's bill. There was
a pair of Mallards in the grass near the breakwater. The female was on her
nest and the male was standing watch.
Tomorrow, I bring my optics along.
Happily birding,
