Dear Tweeters,

For about the last month, I have been monitoring your list mail and have
certainly been envious of seeing some of your reported birds. However, I must
say, birding here in North and South Carolina has also been pretty special this
Spring!

A friend and I will be birding in the central and eastern part of your State in
July. Our itinerary is set and is detailed below. It would be very helpful to
us if you could share information and directions to your favorite birding
locations in these areas. From the research I've already done, it appears we'll
need many trips to Washington in order to cover all of the great areas you have
for birding.

The target birds for Lynn are Black Swift, Mountain Quail and Boreal Owl. I
have never traveled to Washington so I am expecting to see many new species and
really have no target birds although a Spotted Owl would be fantastic - no doubt
to many of you residents also!

Our itinerary is as follows:

July 20-21 - Arrive Seattle and stay at Mt. Rainier

July 22-23 - White Salmon area

July 24 - Kennewick

July 25 - Cle Elum

July 26 - Return to Seattle

Thank you in advance for the assistance. Please reply to me directly.

Good birding,
