We spent the afternoon out at the Delta doing a shore bird survey with Mike
Denny, Joe and Carolyn Corvino, and Larry and Jacque Goodhew. Shore birds
were few: AMERICAN AVOCET, BLACK NECK STILT, and KILLDEER-. Other
interesting birds seen were:

WHITE PELICANS 4
CASPIAN TERNS 95+
GREEN WING TEAL-6

At the new wetlands just east of the junction:

DUSKY FLYCATCHER-1
HERMIT THRUSH -1
FOX SPARROW-SOOTY FORM-1
BEWICK'S WREN-1

On Byrnes road there were:

BARN SWALLOWS -2
SAVANNAH SPARROWS -5
WHITE CR. SPARROWS -100+

At Detour and McDonald road we saw :

WESTERN KINGBIRD -1
COMMON SNIPES (displaying) -5
WHITE CR. SPARROWS -80

50 SPECIES TOTAL FOR THE DAY.
