Jason: when Hammonds come through the low elevations here at Kamloops, they
often give sharp call notes that are reminiscent of single notes from Pygmy
Nuthatches. This "peeping" sound or 'wip" as Wayne referred to it may be the
woodpecker like note that you were hearing.
