PRBO (formerly known as Point Reyes Bird Observatory), Prince William
Sound Science Center, Pronatura (in Mexico) and US Fish & Wildlife
service are running a project this Spring to track western sandpipers
and long-billed dowitchers on their migration from Bahia Santa Maria,
Sinaloa, Mexico up to the breeding grounds in Alaska.

Birds were fitted with radio transmitters down in Bahia Santa Maria last
week and folks are listening at all the known stop over points along the
Pacific Flyway for the next 2-3 weeks.
