Bowerman Basin in Hoquiam is still pretty dead shorebird-wise. Highest
number I've heard this spring is 200 Dunlin.

Bottle Beach on the other side of the Harbor, however, is full of
shorebirds. Went out today at low tide and saw 10-20,000 shorebirds on the
beach. They stretched out as far as I could see the shorelines and
continued on around the corners on both sides. Mostly Western Sandpipers
and Dunlins with a good number of Black-bellied Plovers and dowitchers.
Also, one Willet and a Caspian Tern. I was with 4 kids 6 & under so didn't
get a chance to scan the flocks closely.
