Sightings for Wednesday, April 24:

The arrival NASHVILLE WARBLER was seen on the southwest side of Lost Lagoon
in Stanley Park. Also in the area, close to the lagoon was a tan-stripe
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW.

Four YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS were in the north outer pond at Iona Island.
Also
at Iona were GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS and a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GOOSE.

There were also large numbers of DUNLIN and WESTERN SANDPIPERS on the fore
shore, and 4 LEAST SANDPIPERS in the ponds. There are also still large
numbers of scoters massing off the tip of the south jetty.

In a late report for Monday, a bird thought to be a female REDSTART was seen
briefly in a garden at the 3800 Block of Cambridge Street in North Burnaby.

An OSPREY was seen at Hawthorne Park in North Surrey, at 104th Ave and 144th
Street.

Tuesday, April 23:
A pair of MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS continued to frequent Burnaby Lake Park.

A female ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was at Burnaby Mountain Park.

Twelve GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at Reifel, and a further 25 migrated
overhead.

Fourteen GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at the mouth of Still Creek at
Burnaby
Lake.

Monday, April 22:

Three BLACK-THROATED GREY WARBLERS were at Queen Elizabeth Park.

Sunday, April 21:

The arrival HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was seen at Queen Elizabeth Park in
Vancouver. Also in the area was a singing BLACK-THROATED GREY WARBLER
amongst
a fallout of ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS.

One TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was in a garden at the 3800 block of Cambridge
Street
in North Burnaby.

Two GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were in a pond by the King George Highway
near Serpentine Fen, and a female AMERICAN KESTREL was hawking insects on
Colebrook Road before the mouth of the Serpentine River.

Saturday, April 20:

A PALM WARBLER was seen at Grant Narrows along the dyke trail in the marsh
below the tower. Also in the area were 2 PEREGRINE FALCONS performing a
nuptial display.

The arrival BLACK-THROATED GREY WARBLER was seen at Jerico Park along the
pipeline trail.

The arrival BLUE-WINGED TEAL was at Willband Creek Park in Abbotsford, at
the
corner of Bateman Road and the Mission Highway. Also seen was a pair of
CINNAMON TEAL.

A TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was in a front yard at Clements Avenue in North
Vancouver.

Blackie Spit had a CASPIAN TERN and an EARED GREBE. A SORA was at nearby
Elgin Park.

Another 2 CASPIAN TERN were at Iona Island, and an AMERICAN KESTREL and a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK were on Sea Island.
