After a steady stream of ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS the last couple weeks we
had two NASHVILLE WARBLER'S yesterday and then last night (Friday the 26th)
at 6 PM in between the hard rain showers a bright male HERMIT WARBLER came
in to take a bath in the stream. We live in Cascade Park in Vancouver, WA at
a lower altitude near the Columbia River so it was a real shock to see the
warbler this low. It is, of course, is a new yard bird. Later I also saw a
few YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS which haven't seen for a few years here.

Today there has been a steady stream again of ORANGE-CROWNED and one
NASHVILLE WWARBLERS so far. My husband miss the Hermit so he is on the look
out for it. We also have 3 ORANGE-CROWNED SPARROWS, FOX SPARROWS, HERMIT
THRUSH and a LINCOLN SPARROW among the more normal birds that are here. We
have nesting Bushtit, BC Chickadees, CB Chickadees (feeding) and Bewicks'
Wrens.
